Yes, this Sirius is more sirious than the movie one
gah! this is awesome!
I agree,I think Gary is too old to play Sirius too.
they look cute!
oh my god, how could I have missed this??!!!! I want it as my deskdrop
Just LOVE your Harry)
I just love the level of detail -- not too much, and the rough painting style. I'm learning how to not overdo it.
Thanks!! Yeah it's all about not getting too distracted by the detail - not spending too much time on one small area and keeping a wide focus on the whole piece.
They all were pretty too much old. But, in my opinion, putting Oldman as Sirius was a good choice, considering the fact how old James & Lily appeared in the first movie. Actually, when I read the book (before watching movies) I pictured Harry's parents as old as they appeared in movies. Later, reading the books, I was quite surprised they died so young and and there was that moment when you start to think that usually dead ones always appears in a way they were seen one last time and then there is Rowling with James & Lily, who died at age 21, but looking like 34 in appearance in the movie. I've never understood, why Rowling made them so young, she knew how they looked in the movies, but, oh, well... but if we look at Sirius... It's not that much unbelievable he could look as old as in the movie. Considering the fact he was in Azkaban for so long time... lol, I know a lot of people who lives very well without knowing any problems, but at their 18 they looked like 30. And then... the Azkaban. Not just a problem. I'm the one who always looks much younger and can't take a bottle of beer in a market without any documents. Random people, random looks... Omg, I wrote so much, I'm sorry. anyway, your work is great, and I love your style, it's really interesting and I can see you have your own style. Hope to see smth more of Harry Potter art and maybe even smth else with Jily (it's the stuff you're good at too, as I see).
Yeah, fair points! I think that JK Rowling probably had their ages in mind before the movies came out but after Snape and James and Lily had been case in the first movie they had to cast the rest of the marauders generation older for consistency. Also I totally understand that Azkaban would have aged Sirius, but this is just what I imagine him like, it's personal preference Also thanks! <3
Well, it always was about our imagination. everyone thinks different and it makes things more interesting. What we draw and what we see, when smth is made by other people. For example, when I drew Lily, everyone always thought it's actually me. when I was ok with that then it was ok, but when I argued that I don't like to be compared with `the Boy's who lived` mother all the time, friends always laughed at me. And every time when somewhere along with me appeared dark-haired guy with brown eyes, they always said I found my James. so, yeah, it's what people love to see. But probably it's just because in my country being a fanartist is smth weird.
Eso es asombroso!!! Directo a mis favoritos, me encanta!
your style is sosososo appealing, this is incredible and I love how you chose to characterize them both.
Ohmygod they look amazing! Great work

Sirius is perfection!
I love how you draw Harry's hair! And Sirius is exactly how I pictured him. Lovely!
!!!!!! I love you for this. So much closer to how I pictured it than the movie got.
Yay, I'm glad you think so!! It's actually kinda painful watching the movies with the casting they had haha
Every time I watch I think, whyyy?!! It could have been so much better so easily haha. >.>
Yeah, it's due to the fact that they casted Alan Rickman first, and he was 55 when Snape was meant to be 31 D: They had to cast everyone from that generation a bit older after that to keep the continuity. But I agree, it still bothers me whenever I watch the movies haha.
